Team

The Engineering Unit of the Quantum Center is collocated with our research groups at the ETH Hönggerberg Campus.

Dr. Abdulkadir Akin
Quantum Engineer

Contact details

Kadir Akin joined the team in 2016. His research is focused on the design and implementation of systems based on very-high-speed and efficient field programmable gate arrays (FPGA), with the goal of achieving real-time quantum information processing. He supervises student projects and teaches in the 'FPGA in Quantum Computing with Superconducting Qubits' course for Bachelor students at the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering of ETH Zurich. Kadir holds a PhD in electrical engineering from EPFL and worked as a postdoc at the same university. At EPFL he developed several real-time multiple-camera systems for advanced video-processing applications.
