Machine Learning for Quantum Technologies

Abstract: Methods of machine learning and AI are perfectly suited to harness the increasing complexity of quantum technologies as they are scaling up. In this talk I will review our recent work on using machine learning for designing new strategies for quantum error correction. In addition, I will showcase how a computer can discover interpretable and generalizable novel scattering designs, in the spirit of automated scientific discovery.
