Marieke Hood - Open Quantum Institute & GESDA (Geneva Science & Diplomacy Anticipator)

Abstract: Quantum computers are set to have a transformative impact on our society and our planet. GESDA, the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator, bridges science and diplomacy to anticipate such innovations and guide their responsible development. In line with this mission, GESDA established the Open Quantum Institute (OQI), which is now hosted at CERN, and is supported by UBS. The OQI develops solutions that empower communities worldwide and support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by bringing together quantum experts, innovators, and SDG specialists. In this talk, Marieke Hood (Executive Director Impact Translator, GESDA) will outline how you can get involved in this impactful initiative.
