HPQ Building Project

ETH is constructing a highly specialised physics laboratory and office building HPQ on the Hönggerberg Campus. The new building will house state-of-the-art research infrastructure enabling ETH to expand its position in the field of quantum sciences.

The new HPQ building, featuring innovative laboratory and office facilities will provide a unique infrastructure to further advance the development of quantum science and technology at ETH Zurich. In addition to the offices and conventional laboratories located in the central part of the building, a separate underground side extension will house high-performance laboratories with particularly sensitive research facilities, shielded from internal and external influences. The building will be located on the Hönggerberg Campus at the Wolfgang-Pauli-Strasse, the main boulevard of the campus. It will be home to the experimental physics research groups and include three technology platforms serving various departments at ETH Zurich. The construction is taking place between 2022 and 2028.
