Quantum Technologies in the Real World

Stefan Leichenauer - VP of Engineering, SandboxAQ
Marianna Bonanome - Head of Education Outreach, SandboxAQ

Abstract: More than 100 years ago, quantum theory gave birth to a new revolution in our understanding of nature, the implications of which are still being worked out today. Today we’re able to use quantum devices as sensors and to perform computations, and in the near future we expect a number of new real-world applications to be rolled out. We're just now getting to the point where we're starting to understand the real promise of what quantum science can provide.

SandboxAQ is a technology company that leverages the power of AI and quantum technologies to develop commercial products for various industries, including financial services, healthcare, and telecommunications. Our team comes from diverse backgrounds, including physics, computer science, neuroscience, mathematics, and cryptography brought together in a culture of experimental thinking and collaboration. In this talk we’ll discuss some of the particular projects and applications areas that we work on at SandboxAQ, as well as our vision for the future of quantum and AI.
