Executive Office

The Quantum Center Executive Office is the central coordination and contact point of the center. It is responsible for the management and operation of the center, and its educational, outreach, and communication activities.

Dr. Philipp Kammerlander

Philipp Kammerlander joined the Quantum Center in November 2021 as Public Program Officer. He has since shaped future collaborative networks among Swiss institutions on research, education, and infrastructure in quantum science and technology. Taking over increasing responsibility in Quantum Center projects, he has been appointed Executive Director in July 2022. Philipp is a lecturer at ETH Zurich in Quantum Information and Computation.


Francesca Bay

Francesca Bay has been coordinating the administrative aspects and various activities of the Quantum Center since its inauguration in 2020. In this positon, she is responsible for the budget planning and controlling, and for coordinating the INSPIRE Potentials - Quantum Center Master Awards. She is also the team leader Administration and Project Management at the Quantum Device Lab, which she joined in 2010. Francesca holds a Ph.D. from the Institute of Geophysics at ETH Zurich and a CAS in Research Management from the University of Bern.


Dr. Eva-Corinna Fritz
Outreach & Engagement Manager

Eva-Corinna Fritz joined the Quantum Center in November 2022 as Outreach & Engagement Manager. In her position, she develops the Quantum Center’s outreach strategy and manages events as well as science communication activities. Eva-Corinna graduated with a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Münster and brings along experience as a scientific coordinator.


Galia Messikommer
Administrative Assistant

Galia Messikommer joined the Quantum Center and the Quantum Device Lab in November 2023. In her role, she supports the Quantum Center in administrative and organizational aspects. Previously, she held various administrative positions and worked as a special education teaching assistant.
